NYC Health + Hospitals COVID-19 Relief Efforts
Help @RWQuarantunes support NYC Health + Hospitals and its response to the COVID-19 pandemic. By donating today, you will help bring immediate assistance and daily necessities to our frontline heroes who are risking their lives to keep New Yorkers safe.
Over the past several weeks, Richard Weitz (partner at WME) has been putting together virtual parties on Zoom for clients, friends, family and colleagues in the entertainment business. Each of these “pandemic parties” has featured several high-profile musical guests such as HOZIER, JOHN MAYER, JOSH GROBAN, LIAM PAYNE, RICK ASTLEY, LL COOL J and BILLY RAY CYRUS, to name a few.
NYC Health + Hospitals is the largest public health care system in the nation, serving more than one million New Yorkers annually in more than 70 patient care locations across the five boroughs. Our mission is to care for all regardless of ability to pay or immigration status.
In this COVID-19 crisis, our dedicated, compassionate, brave workforce of more than 38,000 employees are needed more than ever before. They are on the front lines caring for New Yorkers in Emergency Rooms, ICUs, community health centers and nursing homes. They are the Essential Workers and Health Care Heroes during this epidemic.
A number of our hospitals have served New Yorkers since the 18th Century and have serviced patients facing the Spanish flu, yellow fever, cholera, typhoid, and ebola, and rebuilt after the damage of Hurricanes Sandy. NYC Health + Hospitals has proven resourcefulness and resiliency and your partnership to strengthen our efforts to combat the COVID-19 pandemic is a key component to our success.
FUND TO SUPPORT EMPLOYEES
Your gift will provide aid to NYC Health + Hospitals staff who are facing financial hardship as a result of this pandemic. Your non-restricted donation can help us provide much needed services and support to our doctors, nurses, and other health care workers on the front line, which could include:
- Meals - There’s no time to take lunch and dinner breaks, so meals are delivered. $15 per meal
- Groceries - There’s no time to food shop in between long shifts, so grocery bags are prepared. $25 - $50 per bag
- Laundry Service - There’s no time to clean work clothes and scrubs, which must be washed and sanitized. $50 per load
- Scrubs - We are short on supply and need more. $38-$50 per FIGS Scrub
